Dave Matthew’s song called “Dancing Nancies” really hit home when I realized he was singing about himself. He was in a dark time at age 23 when he wasn’t sure who “he was”. When we don’t understand our God given purpose, life can be tough. Listen to the song, and then think about who you are vs. who you could have been. My fundamental belief is that YOU were created for a purpose. Whether you know your purpose or not, it’s in you, and you cannot run from it. The holy spirit is real. When you wake up and see the “sign posts” along the way, it’s miraculous.
My mission is to “optimize for eternity” which is why I am almost always operating at a full sprint (beast mode as my friend Amy Van Dyken-Rouen calls it). The path to optimizing for eternity for me is to connect at a heart and soul level when I meet people, and to work with others who want to develop the same ability. For me, it was learned through three transformational/experiential learning courses.
God has big plans for me, and for you. It took me three traumatic events in 2021 to surrender to his will for my life (and another one in 2000). You don’t have to experience trauma, you can hear the stories of other people’s trauma and connect with the outcomes they had from those experiences.
